"So it goes." This quote is repeated many times throughout the chapters, and is associated with war, destruction, and most of all, death. The Tralfamadorians gave him the mindset of "all moments existing at once", so death, in Billy's mind, is no longer a big deal. This definitely gives him a very different and interesting way of going through life. It makes it so Billy doesn't feel sad for anyone who dies, because he knows that they are still alive in another moment in time. While the story and the idea of being unstuck in time is confusing to me, I still know that whether Billy Pilgrim is really experiencing these things or not, he is still learning a lot about how you should go about life. "So it goes" really shows that he is developing an advanced mindset about how life goes- how all moments in time exist at once.
